| Vidéo 8 making small teak panels |
Creating whole teak panels for small window frame areas like steps can be made simple and easy by using the Teak-it-Easy cutters. ........
Be aware that the step may not be completely square, but angled out, as in this case. Cut out the small planks roughly to fit inside the frame and glue them together using the stelmax. Now lay down the panel and ensure the gap is proportional on both sides of the mat. Next cut out the panel to fit snugly inside the margin of the step area. You should mask down the leading edge of the step to prevent overspill when laying the bedding adhesive. When the panel is fixed in place with the adhesive lay the individual margin strips down before using the roller to bind the decking firmly onto the adhesive. When dry cut the 5 mm caulking channels and tape around each to ensure there is no overspill. Finally we recommend using a smaller gun to apply the caulking rubber in the cartridges. Remove the masking tape once the caulking has dried and you are left with a completed step section. |
